Micich not among final two considered in Nebraska
Superintendent of Schools Anita Micich has not been offered a similar position in Nebraska.
Micich had recently informed the Clear Lake School Board that she was one of six candidates interviewing for a superintendent’s position at the Papillion-LaVista School District, located south of Omaha, Nebraska. After interviewing the candidates early last week, two finalists-- both from Nebraska, were chosen.
Micich was named superintendent for the Mason City School District in 2008 and was hired by the Clear Lake School Board in 2010 in a sharing agreement with Mason City. Micich told Board members she was not seeking a new job, but was asked to consider the position in the Papillion-LaVista School District. That school district has approximately 10,000 students.
