Mathews named to Class 3A All-District Volleyball Team

Emily Mathews, a junior at Garner-Hayfield/Ventura High School, was recently named to the All-District Volleyball Team for the Class 3A Central District.

Mathews, a middle hitter, led Class 3A in kills per set with 4.9 per set, and she was third overall in total kills with 382.

“This is a great honor for Emily and for our program,” said Coach Tracy Schmidt.  “She is an all-around volleyball player and we are very proud and happy for her that she was recognized for her hard work.”
