Margaret Draves

Margaret (Monaghen) Draves, 86, passed peacefully on June, 15, 2023, at the South Peninsula Hospital where she was a resident in the Long Term Care Unit, Homer, Alaska.

Margaret, ‘Muggs’, was born in Clear Lake in June, 1937.  She was a graduate of Clear Lake High School, Class of 1955.  She was united in marriage to, LeRoy ‘Roy’ Draves, in 1955. 

Margaret and Roy headed north in 1986 to Anchorage.  They settled permanently in Homer, Alaska in 1995.

Muggs, loved to play cards and will always be remembered for her delicious rhubarb pies.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Faith Monaghen; her husband, Roy Draves, in May of 2020; and her siblings, Cleve, Darwin, Conlan, Cecilia Louise, and John.

Margaret is survived by her children, Steve (Debbie) Draves, of Kennewick, Wash., Valerie Draves, of Homer, John (Jill) Draves, of Ivybridge, County Devon, UK; and her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
