Louise Goetsch
Louise Goetsch, 82, of Hemet, Calif., died May 25, 2011 at her home at the Yorkshire House.
Funeral services will be held in Clear Lake at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 North 4th Street, on Friday, July 15. Visitation with the family will be from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. with Pastor Derik Yarian officiating. A brunch will follow
after the funeral in the church. At 11:45 a.m. the Lady of the Lake has been reserved for family and friends to honor Louise.
Louise was born Aug. 7, 1928 in Titonka, Iowa to Dick and Maire Baade. She was the third of nine children.
Louise graduated from Titonka High School in 1945. She later went to business college in San Francisco, Calif. In 1950 she married Harold Buns. He died in 1953. She later married Harold Goetsch in March 1954. Together they owned and operated Gene’s Mobil and Clear Lake Cab Company for 14 years. She later retired to Hemet.
Louise was an amazing mother, sister, and wife. She gave the word “multi-tasking” its definition. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, and was an excellent cook. She will be remembered for her love for her family, her hard work and her kindness. She had a spunky spirit with a great attitude and love for life. She was a friend to all and will be missed by all her knew her.
Louise is survived by her sons, Rick (Connie Stolzfus), Arnolds Park, Iowa, Mike Buns (Debbie Matney), Ames, Iowa, Craig (Judy) Goetsch, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Kurt (Andrea) Goetsch, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Jim Goetsch, Lakewood, Colo., Steve (Carmine) Goetsch, Mason City, Iowa; daughters, Pat (John) Hardie, Phoenix, Az., Lori (Kyle) Scalis of Anchorage, Alaska; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene (Don) Baker, Mary Ann (Stanely) Tyron, Viny (Max) Bierstead, Jo Ann Asa; brothers, Raymond Baade and Alfred (Phyllis) Baade; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Baade; brother-in-law, Dale Goetsch, six nephews; 12 nieces; and her best friend and brother-in-law, Jim Barboni who was her pal and very supportive in her final years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Buns, Harold Goetsch; son, Jeff Goetsch; sister, Delores Baade; and brother, Walter Baade.
