Linda J. Clark
Linda J. Clark, 68, of Mason City, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City with her loving family by her side.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. N.E., Mason City, with Pastor Ed Bard officiating. Committal services followed in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Linda’s name to Hospice of North Iowa.
Linda Jewel Bunday was born on July 1, 1946 in Mason City, the daughter of Ralph and Donna (Francis) Bunday. She attended school in Mason City.
Throughout her younger years, Linda and her two daughters, Shawn and Penny, resided in various cities including Owatonna and Clear Lake before making their way back to Mason City.
Upon returning to Mason City, Linda began working for Marshall and Swift, where she met the love of her life, David Clark.
On Oct. 15, 1988 Linda was united in marriage to David at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; together they would be blessed with 25 years together.
Most recently, Linda was employed with FRC before her retirement in 2014. During her time there she made countless friendships with her coworkers that continued beyond her retirement.
Linda was always on the go. In their free time she and Dave enjoyed bowling, dancing, and traveling together along with their friends. Linda also loved reading, whether it be a traditional book or on her Kindle, solving crossword puzzles, cooking, and baking. She was well known for her famous potato salad and sugar cookies.
Her family came first and foremost in her life. She cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren and loved shopping and spending time with her sisters, Pat, Barb, and Deb.
She was a former member of the V.F.W. and the Moose Lodge.
Those grateful in sharing in her life are husband, David Clark, Mason City; her daughters, Shawn (Joe) Andreetti and their children, Samantha and Mason, Apopka, Fla., and Penny (Don) Harty and their children, Cole and Macy, Clear Lake; her step children, Shelley Schutz, Clear Lake, and Brad Clark, Clear Lake; and her siblings, Barb Abrahams, Mason City, Deb (Mark) Christiansen, Mason City, and Steven (Janet) Bunday, Battle Lake, Minn.; as well as her nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Donna Bunday; and her sister, Patricia Botone.
Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of arrangements.
