Who has the best lights?

Let your holiday season shine bright and you could win $1,000!

 

Judging is now underway and will continue through Thursday, Dec. 20, to determine the most outstanding holiday light displays in Clear Lake and Ventura.  Top 

prize in each community is $1,000 cash.  Second, third and fourth place winners in each town will also receive cash prizes.

The contest is sponsored by the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ventura.  It is open to residential properties only located inside the city limits of Clear Lake or Ventura. No entry form is needed to be considered.

Judging will be based on creativity and overall visual effect.  Contest winners will be notified on Dec. 21.

Wicks Construction, of Decorah, which has been involved in large road construction work in Clear Lake and Ventura throughout 2012, will supply the $1,000 first prize for the Clear Lake and Ventura winners.  Veensta & Kimm Engineering, of Mason City, will pay the second place winners in each community $500.  Third place, worth $250 in both towns, will be supplied by Farmers State Bank in Clear Lake and Ventura.  Fourth place and $125, will be donated by CL Tel and VTel, the Clear Lake and Ventura Telephone Company.
