Hamilton to play in Iowa Shrine All-Star football game
Clear Lake High School football standout Bryson Hamilton will be playing in the 2013 Iowa Shrine All-Star football game July 27 at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls.
The goal of the Iowa Shrine All-Star football game is to raise money to benefit Shriners’ hospitals for Children. Their motto is “Stong legs run, so weak legs may walk.”
Along with training camp for the football game, Hamilton will be doing fundraising, with the proceeds supporting the 19 orthopedic hospitals and three burn centers operated by the Shrine.
The Iowa Shrine All-Star football team consists of a North and South team. Hamilton will be playing on the North Team, coached by Mike Dirksen, head coach of Newman Catholic High School in Mason City.
Hamilton will be a 2013 graduate of Clear Lake High School. This fall he will be attending Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. to play football and study pre-engineering. His parents are Scott and Tammi Hamilton.
