The Veterans Memorial Golf Club Foundation Board of Directors report membership has increased at the local golf course and the group is optimistic it can finish the season with a positive balance.

Board members recently made their first monthly report to the Clear Lake City Council.
Jay Barragy and Tom Fey reported 195 season passes had been sold through the Memorial Day holiday. That number was up from the 156 sold last year. The men noted the majority of the major expenses expected at the course had been paid, including purchase of a new computer, mower and sprayer.
