Lake hosts another successful event

Clear Lake’s Fourth of July celebration is billed as the “Biggest and Best in Iowa.”  This year did not disappoint, as thousands enjoyed a full five days of carnival fun, 

musical entertainment, parade, fireworks and, of course, fun on the lake.

 

“The champion of the whole celebration was the weather,” said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tim Coffey, whose organization puts on the fabulous festival.  “The weather definitely brought people out and encouraged them to spend time here.  Last year was so hot that people didn’t really want to be outside much.  This year was just fantastic.”

Evans United Shows, marking its 40th year providing the amusements for the holiday celebration, saw good sized crowds throughout their stay.
