Senior Teddy Zrostlik also made school history by being the first player to score three goals in one game.
“We played great. It was a very physical game, but we didn’t back down,” said Coach Eric Williams. “I was so proud of our team tonight, and that was exactly how we won - we played as a team.”
Also scoring goals for the team was AJ Arnold, Patrick Terhark, Jimmy Ermer and Corey Houptman.
Shawn Murphy led the team in assists with two, while Arnold, Terhark, Zrostlik and Ermer all had one apiece.
Ermer had three shots on goal, while Terhark had two. Jack Bertilson, Bradon Meints, Zrostlik and Allan Devora all had one shot on goal.
Goalkeeper JJ Loschen had seven saves.
“We really pressed hard and played a lot of guys. It was a great experience for all of them,” said Williams. “The last couple of weeks the team has really worked on their weaknesses and their conditioning. I really feel that we are starting to get going down the right track going into districts.”
