GHV boys soccer drops two
Hudson 2, GHV 0
It was a tough road game for the Cardinals. They were blanked by Hudson, 2-0, on Monday, April 21.
As a team, GHV took six shots and three shots on goal. Teddy Zrostlik took four shots and one shot on goal. Jack Bertilson and Allan Devora each had one shot. Jimmy Ermer took two shots on goal.
Goal keeper JJ Loschen had three saves and two goals scored against him.
Humboldt 4, GHV 1
The Cardinals hosted Humboldt for a tough bout on Thursday, April 24. GHV did manage a goal against Humboldt, but it wasn’t enough, as the Wildcats scored four to win the match, 4-1.
Jack Bertilson scored the Cardinals’ lone goal midway through the match on an assist from Shawn Murphy.
Teddy Zrostlik had two shots, while Turner Albertson and Jimmy Ermer each had one shot.
Zrostlik had two shots on goal and Murphy had one.
JJ Loschen, GHV’s goal keeper, had 13 saves and allowed four goals.
The team is off for a while and won’t play again until Thursday, May 8, when they travel to Iowa Falls-Alden for a 5:30 p.m. game.
