Grace Tusha led the batting effort with two hits.  Getting one hit apiece were Maddie Tusha, Brooklyn Ossman and Tiara Van Gerpen.

“I have challenged the girls to push themselves at the plate and to swing at good pitches,” said Coach Christina Weiser.

It was a much closer game on Saturday when the Cards faced Northwood-Kensett.

“We are starting to put things together now,” said Coach Christina Weiser.

Taylor Reising pitched the entire game for the Cardinals.  She gave up nine hits and five runs.  She walked two batters and struck out five.

“The pitchers struggled in the first game, but I challenged Taylor to make the batters put the ball into play and she did a great job of that,” said Weiser.

Maddie Tusha led the offensive effort, going 4-4 at the plate.  She also scored one run for the Cardinals.

Tiara Van Gerpen, Mackenzie Van Gerpen and Kylee Datema also scored runs for G-H/V.
