Stacy Doughan, Director of the Clear Lake Chamber, was awarded the Clear Lake Education Association’s “Friend of Education” at Clear Lake School’s opening day event. Her nomination is as follows:

Stacy always goes above and beyond for our school community. As the President of the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, Stacy always thinks of ways for our school activities to get involved. For example, she came up with the idea of having Mario and Pikachu be a part of Thursday’s On Main and where we can raise money for our school E-sports program, and dress up as various Disney characters to raise money for our school speech and drama/theater programs. Stacy organizes beginning of the year giveaways by getting local Clear Lake businesses involved and it’s a great way to kick off the school year for our staff. Stacy is one of the most warm and caring people in a community that I have ever seen. Stacy’s disposition makes her very approachable to talk to and she is always a message or an email away when it comes to volunteering and when it comes to organizing community ideas. Stacey goes above and beyond to make sure Clear Lake is a great place to live, learn, work and play.
