Four Lions open track season at Dickinson Relays
A few members of the Clear Lake boys track team got an early start on the season by participating in the Dickinson Relays held March 19 at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
Head Coach AJ Feuerbach explained he prefers to concentrate on individual events more than relays, due to the school’s spring break schedule and lack of practice time before hand.
“It’s always tough to go to that the first day after spring break and we also know it’s the toughest competition we may face until state,” said Feuerbach about the all-class meet.
The four Lions which attended the meet did very well against the strong competition.
Connor Nosbisch placed seventh in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.81.
Chandler Diercks was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 20’ 3/4”.
Aaron Boeshart ran the 60 meter dash in a time of 7.57, placing 30th.
Alex Webb competed in the 800, running a time of 2:16.78.
The Lions’ first meet of the season is Friday, March 30, at Forest City.
