End of summer celebrated

The Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2nd Annual End of Summer Beach Party during a weekend of perfect beach weather.  Hundreds enjoyed games, music and a movie at Saturday’s free event. 

Winners in the Treasure Hunt were:  Jean Chihak, winner of a half-hour sight-seeing flight over Clear Lake given by North Iowa Air Service; Debbie Betts, queen Serta mattress set; Shanda Harms, year-round dining; Blaine Frieden, backpack, beach towel, pizza for a year from Casey’s; Amy Roberts, Family Fun Getaway from Best Western Holiday Lodge; Lisa Paul, 10-play card from Veterans Memorial Golf; Carol Behne, date night package; Steve Bieber, Renaissance Festival tickets from Three Eagles Communications; Marion Olson, two-hour trolley rental; and Emily Jackson, $100 gift card from Best Buy.
