Emily Lewis-Evans

    Emily K. Lewis-Evans, formerly of Clear Lake, died peacefully at home on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the age of 80. A memorial celebration of life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Five Acres Animal Shelter.     Emily left Clear Lake in 1949 to attend Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo.    She was employed as a receptionist at Baue Funeral Home from 1985 to 1999. Emily was also a member of the Historical Society and P.E.O Sisterhood.
    She was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel Knutson; devoted mother of Rick M. (Geri) Lewis, Stephen K. (Maria E.) Lewis, Linda Meyer, and Kathy (Joe) Hundley; and cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry O. Lewis; and her second husband, Dr. James Hiram Evans, Jr.
    The family is being served by The Baue Funeral Home, St. Charles, Mo.
