Dr. Robert C. Landau

Dr. Robert C. Landau, 77, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Friday, Feb. 13, at Friendship Village Health Center.

Services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Central Christian Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Robert was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Waterloo.  He was the son of Carl and Marion Miller Landau.  He married Joan O’Bryon on June 14, 1959, in Waterloo.

Robert graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1956 and from the University of Iowa in 1964 with a DDS degree.

He was a dentist in Waterloo for 37 years, retiring in 2000.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin (Jill) Landau, of Mason City; a daughter, Sara (Edward) McGarvey, of Buckingham, Iowa; a son-in-law, Steve McIntee, of Winter Haven, Fla.; six grandchildren, Cole (Megan) Landau, Jay (Gillian) McIntee, Carrin Landau, Bobby McIntee, Steven McGarvey, and Justine (Drew) Hellman; five great-grandchildren, Brooke and Carl Landau, Sadie, Anthony and Aliyah McIntee; and a sister, Kay (Don) Hartson, of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann McIntee; and a grandson, Sammy McIntee.
