DNA evidence leads to arrest

DNA evidence has resulted in the prosecution of a man accused of burglarizing the Highway 106 Car Wash.

On Sept. 1, 2011 the Clear Lake Police Department investigated a report of a burglary at the Clear Lake business, located at 1101 4th Ave. S., Clear Lake.

Evidence was collected at the scene of the burglary and submitted to the Department of Criminal Investigation lab for testing.

Through DNA evidence, suspect Joseph Evenson, 26, of Northwood, Iowa was identified as the person responsible for the burglary committed at the car wash.
