Dean A. Wood

Dean Alan Wood, age 61, died on Oct. 28, 2014, in Clear Lake.  

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4060 4th St. SW, Mason City, Iowa.

Dean was born in Vinton, Iowa on July 6, 1953; he lived his whole life in the North Iowa area.  

Dean enjoyed many things in life that took him outdoors; rock hounding, nature and bird watching, fishing, camping and a good barbecue.  He enjoyed people the most and loved spending time with friend’s young and old alike.  

Dean especially enjoyed spending time with his family; his wife, Dona, of 42 years; and his children, Chris, Alicia and Cory.  A deeper love could not have been!

Dean was loved and will be missed by many.  Dean was a very caring person that deeply loved his family and friends.  Dean was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served the congregation as an elder, his care for those in the flock was always with love and kindness.  All that knew Dean could feel his heartfelt love and affection for each one personally.
