Davidson named to INA All-State team

 

The Iowa Newspaper Association announced its 2013 All-State Boys Basketball teams for Class 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A Tuesday.  Clear Lake’s Spencer Davidson was a Third Team choice.

Davidson, who was also named to the All-North Star Conference First Team, was the leading scorer for the Lions with an average of 19.5 points in 24 games played.  He was 

also the leader at the free throw line for the Lions, sinking 132 of 155 attempts during the season for 85.2 percent. 

“Spencer worked incredibly hard last off-season and really committed himself to the game,” said Clear Lake Head Coach Kevin Kahler.  “It’s nice to see that his hard work and dedication is being recognized.  I expect him to have another good off-season this year and come back even better next year.” 

The Lions finished the season with an overall record of 16-8.  They shared runner-up honors in the NCC with Humboldt with 15-3 marks.
