Daniel K. Ott

Daniel Kimball Ott, 50, of Batavia, Ill., formerly of Excelsior, Minn., passed away suddenly on July 23, 2014. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Bayview Event Center, 687 Excelsior Blvd., Excelsior. Burial will be in Clear Lake at a date yet to be determined.

 In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to SAVE - Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (save.org) or a favorite charity of the giver’s choice.
 Dan, a U.S. Navy veteran, lived in Batavia, but his heart was in Excelsior. Dan was a kind, loving and gentle man who valued above all else his amazing friends and family ties. We are thankful and blessed for all who loved him. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.
 He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Jackie Ott; sisters, Kathy (Bob) Saum, Karen (Randy) Wisner, Laura (Jackie Hoff) Reynolds; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
 He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Wisner; and his niece, Erica Wisner.
