The daughter of Lloyd and Virginia (Briggs) Dralla of Northwood, Corie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and spirit touched all who knew her.
Corie was a lifelong resident of Clear Lake and Mason City, where she built a legacy of love, dedication, and community. She married on June 18, 1966 and was the cherished wife of Richard Rieman, who preceded her in death in 2020 after 54 years of a deeply devoted marriage. They first met at Corie’s sister’s wedding in Northwood, a year earlier and their love story continued to flourish over more than five decades, filled with shared adventures and countless memories.
Corie is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Kenney of Omaha, Neb. and Kimberly Rieman of Manteca, Calif.; three grandchildren, Randall (Taylor) Kenney, Danielle (Austin) Robertson and Andrea Kenney; two great-grandchildren, Cayden and Kinsley Kenney. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy lives on through the love and values she instilled in them.
A dedicated professional, Corie worked at Unisys for many years before retiring from Opportunity Village. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her community. Corie was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church, an active member of the Moose Club in Mason City, and a proud founding member of the North Iowa Road Riders in Clear Lake. She and Richard were passionate about motorcycle travel and camping, often exploring the western United States. Corie was known for her unique way of enjoying these trips, often found with a book in hand while riding on the back of their motorcycle.
Her love for camping was exemplified by her fondness for Cutty’s Campground in Okoboji, where many cherished family gatherings took place. Corie also had a creative side, painting and crafting beautiful quilts that are now treasured keepsakes for her family.
Corie’s kindness, sense of adventure, and deep affection for her friends and family will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and community spirit that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Along with the above names Corie is survived by her sisters Janice Hall, Christine (Howard) Shepard, and Ginger (Travis) Holtz; brothers Carl Dralla and Curtis (Terri) Dralla; sister-in-law Irene Schupanitz and brother-in-law Danny Buckman. She is proceeded in death by parents Lloyd and Virginia Dralla; sisters Marion (Perry) Montgomery and Connie Buckman; brother Lloyd Dralla and brothers-in-law Jule (Gisela) Rieman, Jurn (Jane) Rieman, and Leo Schupanitz.
