Community shows its school spirit

Chamber of Commerce CEO Stacy Doughan (left) recently presented Clear Lake School Counselor Sara Puttmann with a check for $1,667, representing funds raised at the Thursdays on Main Back to School Night held Aug. 18, along with funds left from the Chamber’s Educator’s Breakfast and $200 contributed by the Noon Lions Club.  Two totes of donated school supplies also helped the school district get the school year off to a great start.-Reporter photo by Marianne Gasaway.
