CLHS Principal Mathis resigns

Accepts superintendent position at Eldora-New Providence

    Jay Mathis, principal at Clear Lake High School since 2000, has submitted his resignation to the School Board. 
    Mathis will become Superintendent for the Eldora-New Providence School District, effective July 1.
    The Clear Lake Board of Education approved his resignation from the district at its Monday night meeting.

    “This is a great career oppotunity, but leaving Clear Lake will be tough,” he said.  Mathis spent five years as assistant principal/activities director and seven as principal.
