CL tennis team tops Webster City; falls to Boone

The Clear Lake girls tennis team is now 5-2 after splitting a pair of matches last week.  The Lions topped Webster City, 8-1, on Tuesday, April 21, then dropped their first-ever meeting with Boone, 7-2, on Thursday, April 23.

“Playing such a talented team helps us continue to raise our level of play,” said Coach Mary Jo Peterson following the Boone match.  “Even though the scores didn’t reflect it, our girls played some of the best tennis of the season so far.  We’re learning what it takes to really keep fighting for every point.”
