Busy day at the polls

Clear Lake, as well as the whole nation, turned out in large numbers to cast their ballots in the 2012 General Election held on Tuesday, Nov. 6.  The polls were open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m.  Above, voters cast their ballots at the Clear Lake Church of Christ, one of the voting locations in Clear Lake.  Iowa was a key

state as the nation watched to see if the state’s six electoral votes swung to President Barak Obama or to his GOP opponent Mitt Romney.  In addition to the presidential race, state and local offices were also decided.  Election results will be published in next week’s edition of the Clear Lake Mirror-Reporter.
