Beverly Anderson

 

     Beverly J. Anderson, 80, of Ventura passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Oakwood Care Center.

     A funeral service was held Monday, July 8, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, Ventura, with Pastor Rhoda Preston officiating.  Burial was held following the service at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

     Beverly J. Anderson was born July 24, 1932 in Garner, the daughter of Birch and Barbara Robison.  She graduated from Garner High School and later worked at a nursing home, drug store, and grocery store.  She was united in marriage to Calvin T. Anderson on Dec. 12, 1950 at the Garner Methodist Church; to this union, six children were born.

     Beverly was active with her church circle, was an auxiliary member of the American Legion #256 in Garner and enjoyed spending time with family and baking.  She also enjoyed listening to Twins baseball, and Hawkeye basketball on the radio, as well as attending her grandchildren’s activities. 

     Beverly is survived by her children, Michael (Mary) Anderson, Clear Lake, Janet (Rod) Reinholdt, LeClaire, Iowa, Terry (Esther) Anderson, Ventura,  Karen (Randy) Frisch, New Hampton, Iowa, Cindy (Mark) Meier, Glenville, Minn.; grandchildren, Tera (Marc) Kappmeyer, April (Tim) Lane, Mitchell (Taryn) Meier, Shelbey (Brett) Peterson, Dan Reinholdt, Kelli Meier, Mike Reinholdt, Ashley (Rob) Magner, and Emily (Mark) Eilertson; great-grandchildren, Alexis Wilkinson, Ava Kappmeyer, Jaxson Anderson, Isabella Kappmeyer, Makenna Meier, Mason Lane, Kensie Kappmeyer, and Ainsley Meier; sisters, Nellie Bird, Garner, and Bonnie Boeshart, Garner; and brother, Birch (Ruth) Robison, Hilo, Hawaii.

     She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Anderson; infant son, Gary; parents, Birch and Barbara Robison; sisters, Geneva Hanson, Vivian Oppedahl, and Edna McCaulley.

     Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
