April Peterson

April Ann Peterson, 52, of 1106 N. 5th St., Clear Lake, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 after a courageous eight year battle with cancer. 

Memorial services were held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, Iowa, with Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating.  

April was born April 5, 1960 in Mason City, Iowa the daughter of Daniel Dean and Joanne (Burgess) Anderson Sr.  She attended school in Mason City and Clear Lake.

  On April 8, 1978 she married Michael David “Pete” Peterson April 8, 1978 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mason City.

April worked at Fieldstone Cabinetry, Northwood, Iowa, as director of Human Resources and then Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in admitting.

April enjoyed baking, tanning, decorating her home, yard work, her flowers, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, walks with her companion, Jaxson, her dog, and spending time with her friends.  April always had a positive attitude and you could tell by all the wonderful sayings she had throughout her home.  She would light up the room with her beautiful smile. 

April is survived by her son, Jason Michael Peterson and his fiancée, Erika Serracin, and her children, Javier Calvo, Whitney McCaw and Wesley McCaw; Jaxson Dean Peterson (her faithful companion); father, Dan Anderson, Sr.; four brothers, Andy Anderson, Dan “Gup” (Kathleen) Anderson, Jr., John Anderson and Doug Anderson; her special friend, Shirley “Krumm” Kunzman; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne, and a sister, Danette.  

Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of arrangements.
