Air Choice One officially welcomed at MC Airport
North Iowa leaders celebrated the selection of Air Choice One as the carrier for the Mason City Municipal Airport Monday with a ribbon cutting.
Tom Hoveland, chair of the Mason City Airport Commission, said response to Air Choice One, which began flying here about two months ago, has been extremely positive.
“We are so happy to have Air Choice One here,” said Hoveland. “It’s about the closest thing to having your own personal jet.”
Air Choice One President Shane Storz shared Hoveland’s enthusiasm.
“Our partnership with Mason City and Clear Lake is awesome. We are excited for what the future holds for our service to Chicago-- and soon St. Louis. We are looking forward to a long future here.”
Clear Lake Mayor Nelson Crabb said the addition of Air Choice Once to the area is exciting for economic development in North Central Iowa. “It is critical we have an airline such as this here and all reports are that it is a great service.”
Mason City Mayor Eric Bookmeyer also recognized the regional effect the airline will have. “We all depend on this,” he said.
