Adams named Athlete of the Week at Kirkwood College

Former Clear Lake High School prep baseball player, Ozzie Adams, was named Athlete of the Week at Kirkwood Community College, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Adams, a sophomore on the Eagles baseball team, notched 15 hits in the eight games the Eagles played last week.  On the year, Adams is hitting .545 in 44 at-bats.  In the Eagle’s game against 20th ranked Westchester, Adams went two for two with 3 RBIs as Kirkwood picked up a 12-1 victory.

Adams plays second base for the Eagles.

He is the son of Dave and Shelly Adams, of Clear Lake.  He is majoring in business administration at Kirkwood.
