Linda Ziemer

Linda Mae Ziemer, 71, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, May 16, 2015, in Story City, Iowa.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 20, at 1 p.m., at the Clear Lake Church of Christ, with Pastor Brad Sheldon officiating.

  Linda was born on Sept. 7, 1943, in Mason City, Iowa, to Harvey E. and Opal Irene (Utter) Schultz.  She graduated from Mason City High School in 1961, and then attended the Minnesota Bible College.  Linda married LeRoy L. Ziemer on Dec.14, 1963. 

  Linda worked in various service oriented jobs, the most important being a stay at home mom for her three children.  Later she worked in metal shops as a punch press operator.  She was a member of the Clear Lake Church of Christ.  Linda enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

  Linda’s family includes her husband, LeRoy; daughter, Renee (Kevin) Frerichs, of Des Moines, Iowa; sons, Randy, of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Richard, of Allison, Iowa; four grandchildren, Bethany Jo (fiancée, Wes), John (Ashley), Joselyn and Austin; brother, Gary Schultz; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Nancy Schultz; several other brothers and sisters in law; grandson, Isaiah; and granddaughter, Rebekah. 

Boman Funeral Home, Webster City, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
