Jesse Richardson

    Jesse Lee Yun Richardson, 17, of 11418 Jonquil Ave., Clear Lake, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at his home.
    Funeral services were held Tuesday Feb. 28, at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church with the Rev. Diana Hoover officiating.   Interment was in Clear Lake Cemetery. Family suggests memorials go to the Jesse Lee Yun Richardson Memorial Fund. Jesse’s final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.

    Jesse was born Sept. 12, 1994 in Boochun City, South Korea.  At the age of 17 months he was adopted by David and Linda (Peckham) Richardson. He was a junior at Clear Lake High School. Jesse loved and excelled in sports.  In school he participated in wrestling, track, soccer, and football.  He really enjoyed weight lifting, cooking, and playing video games on his x-box. His favorite thing was UFC and MMA fighting. He spent a lot of time watching it on TV and practicing his moves. Jesse also liked tormenting his grandmother’s cat, listening to music on his IPod, watching Sci-Fi, drawing, and being the class clown. Jesse also loved to go out with his friends.
    Jesse is survived by his parents, David and Linda Richardson; sister, Olivia Richardson; maternal grandparents, Don and Rose Peckham, Clear Lake; paternal grandmother, Connie Richardson, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; uncles and aunts, Ron and Tyies Andersen, Ray and Vickie Greeley, Clear Lake, Ted and Lisa Peckham, Minot, N.D., Karen Jones Woodson, Troy, Mo., Bob and Sandie Ivy, Tampa, Fla., and Judi Richardson and Dr. Stuart Rockwell, Poplar Bluff, Mo., and many cousins. 
    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Marion Richardson. and his uncle, Donald Peckham Jr.
    Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
