Corridor group launches campaign, announces Flagship Investor
Officials with the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation announced Tuesday that Clear Lake Bank & Trust Company will serve as Flagship Investor in the regional non-profit economic development organization’s 2012 investor campaign. The annual campaign, which seeks to generate private investment to complement funding
provided by the City of Mason City, Cerro Gordo County and City of Clear Lake to fund the Corridor, is expected to see participation from nearly 200 North Iowa businesses, Corridor officials said.
“Clear Lake Bank & Trust Company is proud to stand with the Corridor as its flagship investor in 2012,” said Mark Hewitt, Clear Lake Bank & Trust Company president & CEO. “Our institution places an exceptionally high priority on supporting job- and capital-creation efforts in North Iowa. We are pleased to be in a position to inspire what we hope will be robust private investment in Corridor efforts in 2012,” Hewitt, who serves on the Corridor Board of Directors, added.
Brent Willett, Corridor executive director, pointed to a new multi-year strategic plan to be released shortly as a natural next step following the 2011 merger of the Mason City EDC, the Clear Lake EDC, and Corridor into a regional economic development organization.
