1986 Girls State Basketball team to be honored

Ventura to hold Pack the Gym Night

Ventura is hoping to Pack the Gym on Friday night, Jan. 27.  Not only will the Ventura varsity girls and boy be taking the court, but some very special guests will also be in attendance.

    The 1986-87 Ventura Girls Basketball Team will be recognized in observance of their 25th anniversary of winning the Girls State Basketball Tournament.  Members of that team will be recognized at half time of the girls basketball game.  There will also be memorabilia on display in the commons area.
    The Ventura Booster Club will also have a full concession stand featuring walking tacos and hot dogs.  The Booster Club encourages everyone to wear their blue and gold to support the current basketball players and also to honor the past players.
    Doors will open Friday night at 6 p.m., with the girl’s game beginning at 6:30 p.m.
