Terry Johnson

    Terry Gene Johnson, (TJ) formerly of Clear Lake, passed away New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2011, in MInneapolis, Minn. at the Golden Living Care Center, a date to remember.  A celebration of life was held at the Salem Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, on Jan. 6, 2012 with his family and friends from the cities. A celebration will be held at Rookies, Clear Lake, on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m.

    Funeral services will be held at the First Reformed Church of Alexander, Alexander, Iowa. on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m.
    Terry was born March 22, 1955 in Belmond, Iowa, to Merlin and Donna Johnson of Alexander. The family moved to Clear Lake in 1964 where Terry was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1974. He attended the University of Northern Iowa and Brown Institute of Minneapolis. Terry worked for the state of Minnesota as a computer programmer. In 1983 Terry became involved with AA and NA and helped many others with stay with the program through his enthusiasm and concern.  Terry’s daughter, Laura Jane, was the love of his life.  He loved to travel and meet new friends. He will be missed.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Johnson. 
    He is survived by his daughter, Laura J. Czech, MInneapolis; mother, Donna J. Johnson, of Meservey, Iowa; brothers, Randy M. Johnson (Ann) of Anchorage, Alaska, Jeffery L. Johnson, Lake Louise, Alaska; nephew Brian S. Johnson (Christina), Anchorage; great-niece, Mariah Johnson, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and many dear friends.
