State track champions

Alana Enabnit (left) and Rea Faber (right) were recognized at the Clear Lake basketball game on Friday, Dec. 16, for being State Track champions at the 2011 State Track Meet.  Both Faber and Enabnit are 2011 CLHS graduates.   Enabnit won Class

3A State championships in both the 3000 meter and 1500 meter.  She ran the 3000 meter race in 9:58.45, which was the best time of all classes for the State meet. She ran the 1500 meter race in 4:42.89. She holds the Clear Lake school record in both events.  Enabnit is currently a freshman at Wartburg College where she is running cross country and track.  Faber was the long jump Class 3A State Champion.  She made the leap in 17’1 3/4”.  Faber is currently a freshman at Iowa State University. -Reporter photo
