Ralph D. Ott Jr.

Ralph Daniel Ott Jr., 83, of Excelsior, Minn., formerly of Clear Lake, followed his son, Daniel, in death on Aug. 2, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Excelsior Covenant Church, 19955 Excelsior Blvd., Excelsior. Burial will be in Clear Lake at a date yet to be determined.
 In lieu of flowers send memorials to the SIDS Foundation or a favorite charity of the giver’s choice.

 Ralph, a U.S. Army veteran, was a kind and loving husband, father and friend. He passionately followed local sports teams, both amateur and professional. He loved golf and playing cards with his lifelong friend, Wayne Hill and Wayne’s wife, Sally. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to his wife and family and for his small acts of kindness.
 He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Ott; his sisters, Dorothy (Bill) Short, Margaret (Earl) Thompson; sister-in-law, Eunice (Jack) Ott; daughters, Kathy (Bob) Saum, Karen (Randy) Wisner, Laura (Jackie Hoff) Reynolds; and much loved grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
 Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ethyl Howard Ott, Ralph Ott Sr. and Nettie Howard Ott; brothers, John (Jack) Ott, Don Ott; daughter, Susan Wisner; granddaughter, Erica Wisner; and son, Daniel Ott.
