McIntire aids The Storm in a United Bowl victory
The Sioux Falls Storm, a member of the Indoor Football League, captured a 37-10 United Bowl victory over the Tri-Cities (Washington) Fever. This was the fifth time The Storm has claimed the IFL title and they did it in front of 4,500 arena fans.
Clear Lake’s Brian McIntire, a former Clear Lake High School and Wartburg College standout, plays as a defensive back for The
Storm. McIntire is listed on the roster at 6’1”, 215 pounds.
A game highlight for McIntire was stepping in front of a fluttering Houston Lillard pass and taking it back 30 yards for six points, giving The Storm a 31-10 lead. McIntire compiled 14 tackles (three for a loss), a sack and the pick-six that changed the game.
“For the defense to only give up 10 points shows a lot of heart,” said McIntire.
