Margaret Riseling

    Margaret Riseling, formerly of Clear Lake, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, in Michigan City, Ind.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. at the Root Funeral Home in Michigan City.

    Margaret was born April 20, 1911 in Woodward, Iowa to the late Fred and Sara Elizabeth “Bess” (Brink) Newland.  On Aug. 7, 1938 she married Freeman “Dutch” Riseling in Woodward. Dutch passed away on Oct. 11, 2004 after 66 years of marriage.
    While living in Clear Lake, Margaret worked as a secretary at Clear Lake Savings and Loan, Clear Lake High School, and Pappajohn Insurance Agency in Mason City, Iowa. 
    Surviving is one son, Robert (Lois) Riseling of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Suzie Moore of Michigan City, and Kay Yeatman of Ruidoso, N.M.; six grandchildren, Tim (Carol) Moore, Lisa Miltenberger, Marc Riseling, Micaela (Larry) Cooper, Major Jeff Yeatman and Major Scott (Sara) Yeatman; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    She will be missed by her family and numerous friends.
