On July 28, 1952 Larry was honorably discharged after serving at Camp McMoy, Wis. After returning from the service he attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.

After Larry’s retirement, the couple spent time traveling with winter trips to Florida, Texas and many years in Arizona, as well as trips overseas. They took several trips with friends traveling America in their motor home.
