Giant bike rolls to its home

The giant bicycle sculpture which was stationed near the Clear Lake Yacht Club to welcome RAGBRAI riders rolled to a new, more permanent location last week. The Clear Lake Arts Center is again home to the bicycle, created by Scott 

Thorne, from Parkersburg, Iowa in the months and years following the EF-5 tornado which leveled most of Parkersburg in 2008. Woodford Lumber and Home maintained the 24-foot high and 18-foot wide sculpture in storage for a few years until the right opportunity to get it out again. RAGBRAI was the perfect opportunity to showcase the unique piece.
