With filing deadline looming, School Board ballot still empty in Clear Lake; Five file papers in Ventura

With barely more than one week remaining until filing deadline, one local school district will have several candidates to consider for Board vacancies, while the other has none.
    In Clear Lake, those at the District’s Administrative Office report no nomination papers have filed by any candidate considering running in the Sept. 13 School Board election.
    Three Clear Lake School Board positions will be decided in the election.  Incumbents Ron Andrews and Tom Lovell have announced they will not seek re-election.  Deb Betz has indicated she will run again, however has not yet filed candidacy papers.
