Clara Leitner

    Clara Jane Leitner, 77, of 1000 3rd Ave. S., Clear Lake, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at the North Memorial Hospital, Robinsdale, Minn.
    Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. John R. Tilp of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake, officiating.  Interment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and then one hour before the

service. Family suggests memorials to Clara Jane Leitner Memorial Fund.
    Jane was born Sept. 4, 1934 in Hannibal, Mo., the daughter of Robert and Hazel (Curtis) Marshall.  She grew up in the Moline, Ill. area.  Jane married Alfred Leitner on June 14, 1952 in Moline.  They moved to the Clear Lake area in the late 1950’s. She moved into Clear Lake in 2006 following the death of her husband.
    She loved spending time with her family and especially playing video games with her grandchildren. She was known as a gamer.
    Jane is survived by her four daughters, Tiana Stitts, Clear Lake, Lisa Leitner Calaway, Minneapolis, Minn., Regina Bartling, Clear Lake, and Racheal Smith, Princeton, Texas; daughter-in-law, Cindy Leitner, Iowa Falls, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray (Chris) Marshall, Las Vegas, Nev. and Bob Marshall, Genesco, Ill.; two sisters, Daisy (Dean) Robinson, Moline, and Betty Abney, Port Byron, Ill. 
    She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Steve; son, Tim Leitner; and her husband, Alfred.
