No injuries after vehicle plunges into Clear Lake

A Cedar Falls man safely escaped his vehicle after it went through the ice on Clear Lake Sunday, Feb. 4.

The Clear Lake Fire Department responded to a report of a white, four-door truck partially submerged in the lake between the island and shoreline on the south shore of the lake known as Bayside.  The incident occurred just after noon on Sunday.

A fire fighter assisted the driver, identified as John Juhlin, out of the vehicle.  He was uninjured.

The CLFD was assisted on the scene by the Ventura Fire Department and the Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Office.
