Soaking in summer’s final days

People made the best of a beautiful Labor Day weekend, enjoying Antiques in the Square, picnics at the Sea Wall, and just quiet moments on or near the lake.

M-R announces more winners in Renaissance ticket giveaway

Four more local families will be enjoying the 2021 Minnesota Renaissance Festival as winners in the Mirror-Reporter’s weekly contest.  

The second of three drawings for tickets was held Friday and two tickets were awarded to four winners: Dave and Polly Suntken, Sandy Dillavou, Nathan Verhalen and Geri Matz. 

Tickets may be picked up at the Reporter office weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The season couldn’t have started off better, with both the boy’s team and the girl’s team placing first.

Algona puts damper on Lion’s season

Clear Lake’s explosive first week offense was doused by Algona in week two, 47-23.

The Lions, who last week racked up more that 550-yards of offense, were held to  just 72-yards in the first half Friday night, while Algona (2-0) racked up 251-yards on their way to a 25-0 halftime lead.
