Lloyd D. Kennedy, 85, 3 E. Gate Court, Clear Lake, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with Rev. Kirk Wilkie officiating. Interment was at the Clear Lake Cemetery. Military Honors were provided by the Clear Lake V.F.W. Memorials may be given to the Lloyd D. Kennedy Memorial Fund.
Clarence ‘Clancy’ Wiebenga, 72, longtime Thornton, Iowa, resident, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa. Funeral services were held on Saturday at the First Reformed Church, Meservey, Iowa, with Rev. Rodney Meester presiding. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Thornton.

Irvin Dale “Irv” Van Haaften went to dwell in the House of the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Muse-Norris Hospice House in Mason City, surrounded by his family. A gathering of friends was held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, on June 26, 2014. The celebration of his life followed on Saturday morning at the church. LaVerne Elizabeth Calhoun, 92, Clear Lake, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.
A celebration of life service for LaVerne will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th Street, Clear Lake. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the chapel. LaVerne donated her body to the University of Iowa anatomy department to help in the cure of diseases. At a later date she will be buried next to her husband in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Highway 18 W., Mason City.

Mary Lou Holstad, 83, of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.
A celebration of life service was held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Kirk Wilkie officiating. Inurnment followed in the Sion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lake Mills, Iowa. Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Mary Lou’s name to Hospice of North Iowa.
