Middle School opens with a new look

Students aren’t the only ones starting the new school year with new supplies.  The Clear Lake Middle School building features a shiny new wooden floor in its gymnasium, a new front entrance, office, redesigned library, hallways and classrooms.

   

New era of education begins in Ventura

The new school year was the start of a whole new era in the Ventura School system.  The high school has been transformed to a Junior High, where seventh and eighth graders from Garner-Hayfield and Ventura reported for classes Monday. Ventura high school students are now in Garner.

   

Council OKs land purchase for water tower

The Clear Lake City Council voted Monday to purchase a one-acre piece of property for the purpose of constructing a new one million gallon elevated water tower on the site.

The city negotiated a purchase price of $75,000 for the parcel on the city’s northwest side.  The land is located

The Clear Lake Police Department is continuing its tradition of including a K-9 officer on its staff.
