Tiebreaker decides winner at NCC Tourney

On the strength of a tiebreaker, the Clear Lake boys captured the North Central Conference Tournament Monday at Veteran’s Memorial Golf Club in Clear Lake.

The Lions and St. Edmond each finished with a team score of 319, but the use of the fifth best score for each team, gave the Lions the title.  Treslyn Allison’s score of 84 was the difference.

Malorie Fischels led the Clear Lake girls to a North Central Conference Tournament title Monday in Webster City.   Fischels captured the individual title, shooting an 83. 

   

Cardinals place third at home meet

The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura boys track team placed third at their own meet held on Tuesday, April 30.  Eight teams competed in the meet, with Forest City taking top honors with 123 points, followed by Clear Lake with 103 and G-H/V with 93.

The Clear Lake boys track team raced to a second place finish at the Cardinal Co-Ed Relays held Monday, April 27, in Garner.  Forest City won the team title with 103 points.  The Lions finished with 103 points and host Garner-Hayfield/Ventura rounded out the top
