Robert Seefeld

 

Robert “Bob” Seefeld, 73, of 2213 14th Place N., Clear Lake, Iowa, formerly Wesley, Iowa, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa, after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer.

     Funeral services for Bob were held on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake with Rev. Dean C. Hess officiating.  Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Wesley.

     Robert “Bob” Wayne Seefeld, the son of Clarence and Anna (Weiland) Seefeld, was born on April 29, 1939 and raised in the Wesley area.  He graduated from Titonka High School in 1956. 

     In February of 1960 Bob was married to Barbara Ringsdorf.  This union was blessed with a son, Bret.  The couple later divorced.

     Bob farmed most of his life on the family farm in rural Wesley.  He retired from farming in 2000 in order to put more effort into his hobbies of cars, bike riding and boating.  Bob did not stop working all together because he continued his window tint business.

     Bob loved going to Buddy Holly concerts.  Through the concerts and his other hobbies he was able to make and retain many friends from across the country and the world.

     Bob is survived by Marilynn Darg-Anderson of Clear Lake; son, Bret (Sandy) Seefeld of Oro Valley, Ariz.; along with many cousins and numerous friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Raymond and Roland; and sister, Darlene Ricklefs.  

Ewing Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
