Janelle Harrington

    Janelle C. Harrington, 67, of 5 Venetian Drive, Clear Lake, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at her home.  A memorial Mass was held Monday, June 4, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Joseph Slepika as celebrant.  Inurnment was held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.

    Janelle C. Harrington, daughter of Julius and Guida (Underkofler) Gradisher was born Jan. 15, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio.  She attended and graduated from Parma High School in Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University with a teaching degree.
    Janelle was united in marriage to David Harrington on June 10, 1989 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. 
    Janelle was a third grade teacher for over 13 years and worked for Amicare for five years taking care of the elderly.
    She was a wonderful woman and the world’s best mother. She loved arts, crafts, tending to her garden, music, and playing the piano.
    She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and enjoyed serving the children snacks at religious education.  She was active in her neighborhood bible study group and enjoyed attending Christian Women’s Connection.
    She leaves behind one son; a daughter-in-law; two loving grandsons; her mother; and a brother; along with her neighborhood family to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy. She was loved greatly, and will be sadly missed.
    Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
